Safety and Hygiene Protocols

At HOTEL LAS ARENAS our highest priority is the safety of our clients and workers. The following protocols adapt some of our certified safety and hygiene standards to new hygienic-sanitary needs to offer you well-being and the best experience.

The protocols, procedures and measures have been created following the norms and recommendations of the ICTE (INSTITUTO DE CALIDAD TURÍSTICA ESPAÑOLA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and reflected in the guidelines and recommendations for hotels and tourist accommodation in Spain published on May 11, 2020. In addition, all the measures reflected here have been agreed with the external prevention service hired by the hotel, specialized consultant Bio 9000 and the health and safety committee to take into account the particularities of our establishment when establishing the policies of prevention. We train all personnel to guarantee their safety and that of our clients. Likewise, to ensure proper implementation and compliance with the measures and different protocols, a Health and Safety committee is established.


• Respect the maximum capacity allowed.
• Common areas: Indication of positions with markers respecting the safety distance between people.
• Maintain the marked safety distance (1.5 m).
• Disinfection of hands in the accesses. We have hydroalcoholic gel dispensers which will be mandatory in certain areas.
• Wear a mask in common areas.
• Elevators: Use of one person, or several if they are from the same family nucleus, in case of different groups, the use of a mask by all occupants will be mandatory.
• Procure card payment.


We implement new elements of security and physical distance:

• Separation methacrylate screens on the counter.
• Distance marks between clients and reception staff.
• Information table with sanitary and hygienic measures.
• Disinfecting gel for clients and workers.
• Continuous sanitation of the elements, devices, surfaces and furniture that may be in contact with our clients.


• Decoration objects, plaids, blankets, brochures will be removed from the rooms.
• Amenities (will be arranged in bags).
• Minibar: It will remain without products, they can be requested at reception.
• Protocol is established to separate clean and dirty clothes and utensils to avoid any cross contamination.
• Use of PPE, masks and gloves by personnel.
• Spray disinfection with virucides that comply with European regulations in all exit rooms. As well as deep sanitization of the TV remote control that will be laminated, hair dryer and its filter, the minibar and the wardrobe hangers.
• The cleaning of the elements of the rooms that are most susceptible will be reinforced daily.


• Hydroalcoholic gel is made available at the entrance to the must-use restaurant.
• The capacity of the salons will be controlled in addition to the buffet area so as not to exceed the established capacity, with a 1.5 m separation between adjoining table chairs.
• Use of PPE, masks and gloves by room and kitchen staff.
• Single-use tablecloths and napkins will be used and the cleaning of tables and chairs will be extreme after use.
• We will continue offering the highest standards in our buffet catering service and assisted show cooking. Separation screens have been arranged so that all areas of the buffet are protected by screens.
• The letters of the bars will be eliminated, they will be arranged with QR codes.


• Use of PPE, masks and gloves by staff.
• It will have a limited capacity to guarantee social distances.
• A safety distance of 2 m will be maintained between pairs of hammocks, they will be disinfected after each use.
• Hydroalcoholic gels will be available in the pool area and hammocks.
• Animation activities will be adapted to ensure that gauging and distance between clients are controlled. All the materials used will be disinfected at the beginning and end of their use.


• Use of PPE, masks and gloves by staff.
• The maintenance team will be responsible for the daily plan for cleaning and disinfecting the area of swimming pools, terraces, cleaning equipment, air conditioning according to the current protocol.
• Repairs should be carried out whenever there are no clients in the room, except in justified cases in which case the client must make use of the mask.
